In-Haus Digital is a Minneapolis-based SEO and content strategy practice. We work with brands that take search seriously and want senior strategy from the person actually doing the work.
After years of running SEO inside large brands and agency teams, a pattern became impossible to ignore. The senior strategists who pitched the work rarely stayed close to the work. Accounts got handed to rotating junior teams. Client calls turned into status updates. And the strategy that won the pitch slowly got diluted into a checklist of deliverables.
The person who should be running your SEO strategy is the person actually doing the work. Not a team of juniors. Not a rotating cast of account managers. You.
In-Haus was built around that idea. One senior strategist leading every engagement, with a vetted network of specialists pulled in when a project needs paid media, development, or dedicated account management. Lean by design, not by compromise.
The result is a practice that can serve enterprise brands and growth-stage businesses alike, with the speed of a consultant and the depth of a full-service team.
I’ve spent more than a decade figuring out why some pages get found and others don’t, and what to do about it.
Most of that time has been split between in-house teams and agencies. I led local SEO for Best Buy across 2,000-plus stores. I built site architecture and content strategy at Polaris. I consulted for Collective Measures on accounts spanning health insurance, agriculture, dental, and higher ed. In between, I’ve worked with national insurance brokerages, law firms, ADHD coaches, real estate firms, commercial printers, trade show exhibit builders, and a speakeasy. The breadth matters because it taught me what doesn’t change about good SEO when the industry around it does.
I started In-Haus because I wanted to do this work the way I think it should be done. That means strategy grounded in data and built to survive a pointed question from your CFO, not deliverables that look impressive and fall apart under scrutiny. It means SEO treated as architecture, not a keyword exercise. And it means writing copy that sounds like the people who actually work at your company, not what an AI thinks they should sound like.
Based out of Minneapolis, I live in the woods north of the Twin Cities with my family which includes three boys (ages 9, 7, and 4), two dogs and sixteen chickens.
Most agencies price like boutiques but staff like factories. A senior strategist sells the work, then hands it to a team of juniors. We built In-Haus differently. The person you hire is the person in your meetings, writing your briefs, and making your strategy decisions.
You work with the principal, start to finish. No onboarding a new account manager every six months. No strategy decisions made in rooms you’re not in. The person running your program is the person who knows your business.
When your engagement needs paid media, web development, or dedicated account management, we bring in senior specialists we’ve worked with for years. You get full-service capability without the overhead of a full-service agency.
Every engagement is designed as a compounding investment, not a campaign. That means rigorous research, content architecture built to rank for years, and technical foundations that hold up as your site grows.
